UPDATE: The National Weather Service lifted its tornado warning for southern Fayette County around 12:50 p.m.

A tornado watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday for all of Fayette County.

A flood advisory has been issued for central Fayette County, which includes UK, until 3 p.m. Wednesday.

A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast before 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Louisville.

Thursday is expected to be sunny with a high near 59.
